A bit of background on the journey of Goodlord, prior to our recent investment.
Tom Mundy and William Reeve, right, brought software developer Goodlord back from the brink of insolvency. On his second day as chief executive of the ailing start-up Goodlord, William Reeve called a meeting of senior staff at short notice — and placed a double bed in the meeting room. The developer of software for letting agents was on the brink of collapse and Reeve wanted to shake things up. “My message to these guys was that they needed to get amazingly intimate with each other for the next month or two,” he said. “It didn’t go down well with everybody, but it had an impact . . . It made a point about how things needed to change.”
