It will collaborate with SMU to offer a scholarship that is worth S$180,000 (US$126,900)

PayPal has announced that it will partner with Singapore Management University (SMU) to roll out a fintech scholarship in Singapore worth S$180,000 (US$126,900).

“This scholarship is part of PayPal’s Innovation Lab initiative, whose objective is to drive innovation in Singapore. The only way disruptive innovation can be brought to life is by identifying and growing young talent and PayPal looks forward to playing its part in nurturing Singapore’s next generation of fintech talent,” said Anupam Pahuja, General Manager for PayPal Singapore’s Developer Center, in an official press statement.

Six undergraduates from the university’s School of Information Systems will receive S$30,000 (US$21,000) through this scholarship over the next three years. They will also intern at PayPal, and gain access to the company’s business leaders, employees and resources.
