Brooklyn based insurance startup has raised $5.3mm in Series A funding from co-led by Karlin Ventures and Susa Ventures.
PolicyGenius secured $5.3 million in its Series A funding round, reasserting the company as the champion for consumer insurance advice and shopping. The funding round, co-led by Karlin Ventures and Susa Ventures, includes support from previous investors in last year’s $750,000 seed round and brings the company’s total funding to just over $6 million. PolicyGenius was launched in July 2014 by co-founders Jennifer Fitzgerald and Francois de Lame and has seen rapid and substantial growth in the last year. Leveraging their multi-product platform, consumers are able to review unbiased advice and confidently research and compare quotes for life, long-term disability, renters and pet insurance. PolicyGenius provides a 360-degree Insurance Checkup™, which guides each user through a five-minute Q&A to develop a personalized, in-depth review of all their insurance needs based on their financial and family situation.
