Hamel is on a mission to disrupt the wealth management industry in France. His intention is to make Marie Quantier, the robo-advisory firm he co-founded in 2011, a mainstream tool for investors. The Marie Quantier approach to investing starts with an assessment of current market conditions, which can be classified as “panic,” recovery,” “serenity,” and “euphoria.” The assessment is driven by an analysis of nearly two dozen economic indicators. Then a proprietary algorithm produces a personalized asset allocation recommendation based on the answers to a few questions on your age, income, assets and retirement goals.
