Google pulls plug on in-app Wallet payments27 minutes ago  |  380 views  |  0Google is pulling out of the in-app purchasing game by retiring its Google Wallet service for digital goods. In a statement, the company says the "the industry has matured a lot" since the launch off the service in 2012, with a number of "alternative payment solutions to choose from". The search giant says it will continue to support transactions on the Google app store for mobile purchases, but will be shutting down the API for all other purchases and recurring payments on 2 March, 2015.
